About Us
Ace Activities offers a range of supported activities and training programmes for over 18’s with learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism and anxiety disorders.
We’ve been in operation since 2007 and our experienced team is immensely proud of the work it does and the skills, help and encouragement it has given participants over the years.
Feedback from students, staff and volunteers shows us that what we provide really makes a difference. The chance to learn something new, acquire life skills, connect with like-minded people, build lasting friendships and be part of a supportive community are just some of the benefits we offer. Parents and carers tell us how much they value the respite that our sessions provide for them and other family members.
Our mission is simple and straightforward: Tell us what you want to achieve, and we’ll tailor a programme to suit your needs.

We’re proud that our courses are ASDAN approved
ASDAN is an education charity and awarding organisation that gives accreditation to progressive programmes that engage young people through relevant and motivating courses to achieve meaningful learning outcomes. They work with partner organisations like us to develop courses that foster personal, social and work-related abilities.
We’re part of Voluntary Action Epping Forest (VAEF)
Ace Activities is co-ordinated by VAEF, an independent charity, and an approved provider of services to Essex County Council. For more information about VAEF, visit the website vaef.org.uk
We hold classes at the Grange Farm Centre
Many of our activities and classes take place at the Grange Farm Centre in Chigwell, Essex. This award-winning centre is a modern eco-friendly building set in 90 acres of parkland. It houses a community hall and meeting rooms that we use for our indoor activities as well as being home to the community garden where our gardening groups meet. The Riverside Timber Recycling Project is home to our woodworkers
The Riverside Timber Recycling Project works in partnership with ACE providing a workspace, materials and guidance for woodworking projects to upcycle furniture and make items for sale out of reclaimed wood. To find out more, see their Facebook page.
Abridge Garden Centre offers our products for sale
The items made by our Upcycling team are kindly offered for sale by Abridge Garden Centre, in a kiosk in their grounds. Call in and see the planters, bird nestboxes and tables, hedgehog houses and other garden products that the team has built. Proceeds help to support our activities.
