Activities and training
We have a range of exceptional activities and training programmes designed specifically for adults with learning disabilities and autism. Each project is led by a team of experienced staff and volunteers and aims to provide interesting and meaningful activities as well as teaching practical skills.
Bespoke plans are created to work towards individual outcomes to include independence, improved health and wellbeing, and increased social skills as well as reducing isolation and loneliness.
ACE Arts
Develops social and communication skills whilst engaging in a variety of interesting and fun arts and crafts.
ACE Cooking with Confidence
Teaches how to shop and prepare meals, leading to greater independence.
ACE Hands up to Music
A group for all abilities, teaching singing and signing with performances and outings.
ACE Sports and Gardening
Teaches a wide range of horticultural skills in the community garden, poly tunnel and classrooms at the Grange Farm Centre, plus a fun sports session
ACE Gardening and Conservation
Working on the Grange Farm allotment learning how to grow fruit and vegetables, as well as taking part in environment management projects with the Grange Farm Trust and Essex Wildlife Trust
ACE Upcycling
Training and mentoring in making a range of goods from upcycled wood as well as restoring and upcycling old furniture
